Is it easy to use?

Yes. It is very easy to use. Just place the head of the BioStick device close to the sore touching the skin, with the sore at the center of the light. Use it 1-2 minutes, 2-3 times a day. Special care should be taken not to look directly at the light source just as recommended with any other strong source of light

Does it have side effects?

No. BioStick is completely safe and has no known side effects; It is drug free thus does not limit the user in any way. As it is based on natural healing treatment, it has no effect on medications’ effectiveness, and thus can actually be used in conjunction with other medications. The BioStick can be used safely by both children and adults.

How does it Work?

BioStick is using 630 nm red light. It is based on the phototherapy principle of treatment with light energy, and uses a visible light source red light with a frequency of 630nm at a narrow band wavelength. This is the optimal wavelength to achieve the desired effect of curing facial wounds, herpes simplex, Aphthas ulcers and gingivitis.

What are “cold sores”?

Cold sores are lesions on the skin, typically around the mouth and nose, caused by a herpes simplex virus, and commonly affect about 20 percent of the adult population. They generally last seven to eight days and about a quarter of those people who get them have three or more episodes a year. For people with the virus, cold sores may be triggered by a variety of factors, including exposure to the sun, stress, a cold, fever or menstruation.

What are Aphthas (“internal burning”)?

One out of every five people in the Western world suffers from Aphthas – cankers in the oral cavity. The prevention or rapid cure of these sores is virtually impossible; these cankers appear in people who are otherwise healthy. They are especially prevalent among the young. With time, the severity of the attacks eventually decreases.

Is it waterproof?

Yes. BioStick is both air tight and waterproof and can be washed with steel water. The device should be wiped clean before and after each use using only a sterile alcohol pre-pad (7O% isopropyl) available in pharmacies. The BioStick device should be washed with soap and running water, Up to 30° C (86° F). Do not use detergents or chemicals of any kind.
